In social search, content that has a social
connection to you in some way is prioritized.
A social connection could mean someone you
are linked to via Facebook, Twitter, or any other
major social network. If your site is regularly updated it shows Google the site is still active, kept up to date and worth them directing people to. Having a news section or blog on your site is an easy way to do this. Make sure that all of your web pages can be indexed by search engines - make sure that they all have at least one link from somewhere on your site. As opposed to general web directories, niche specific directories only accept sites that meet a certain topic criteria. For example, one directory might only accept sites about arts & crafts. Some of these directories are free, while others are paid.
Include media on your website
Ranking high on Google is crucial for attracting consumers to your company. By investing in blogging, you have the opportunity to establish your company as a leader in your industry, as well as reach the customers who are going to take you to the next level. Nothing is worse than
arriving to a site and finding content with keywords strategically (and awkwardly) positioned throughout. Historically, traffic from search engines has been about a very singular
pursuit -- that of rankings. We know consumers want personal interactions with brands, but they also want them in real time
Don’t give up too soon
The more you focus on Google and doing the right thing for website visitors,
the more you’ll win at SEO. Keywords are at the
heart of SEO, and selecting the right ones can
make or break your SEO strategy. Compile a list of about ten keywords
associated with your product or services. Plug these keywords into the
Google Adwords Keyword Planner, and find variations that make sense
for your business. The better your content is organized and the more quality you provide, the higher Google will put your site on the search results related to your niche. If you're a relatively new blog & would be willing to write a blog post for the sake of getting one solid, contextual link, then blog carnivals are a no brainer. Basically, blog carnivals are a blog community that writes about certain topics as a group. These posts then get linked to from an issue, kind of like a magazine.
Does Blog commenting play a vital role in SEO?
Old-school SEO focused on keywords. New-school SEO focuses on high click-through rates, “long clicks”, freshness, and amplification...which are all signals that users are successfully finding the answers they’re looking for in your content. Once all of your on page elements are fully optimised including but not limited to your Meta Titles, Meta Descriptions and H1 Headings, you need to start thinking about link building. You may have heard people dismissing this aspect of SEO. Some people have been penalised for not doing it right, others are paying someone to do it and nothing is happening. If done correctly, it can have an extremely positive effect on your rankings, gaining you the positions that have always seem impossible. If you uncover duplicate content, check the organic traffic for each of your product page variations in Google Analytics. Gaz Hall
, an SEO Expert from the UK, said: "Head terms are searched more frequently, have less words (3 or less in most cases) and are often much more generic and competitive as a result. Long-tail terms are longer phrases (commonly over 3 words) and more specific. While long-tail keywords are usually less popular, we can usually tell exactly what the searcher is after. "
Don;t leave shady backlinks in place
The ability to measure the success of your SEO efforts is crucial. Tracking and managing your website’s data can be done through Google Analytics and Google Search Console. The clear majority of
websites gear their SEO strategy toward traditional search engine keyword searches carried out by typing. There’s a danger that duplicate content will cannibalize the keywords you want to target in search. Duplicate content can be a problem on your own site, but also with any guest posts that you submit to other websites for backlinks. To keep it simple you can use a link shortener that 301s such as bit.ly, or if you want to spend a little more time you can set up your own site and 301 the traffic from a certain page to your money site.
