Have you ever wondered why Google.com delivers different results for a user in the US than for a user in Germany? Google, now more than ever, don't just want more content, they want content that they feel is quality. Standard engagement behaviours on SERP results, such as click-throughs and time on page, can be an indicator of freshness and relevance. Google is pretty good at understanding the general context of a site’s content.

Changing Your Perspective

How are you going to ensure that your site stands out, that it’s set apart from all of the other existing sites? This is the key to building decent backlinks in order to rank highly in search engines. Catering your search engine optimization strategy efforts only to the Google algorithm will probably lower your search results. At the same time, focusing only on the users will ignore some of Google’s page rank algorithm which will keep your page from ranking as well as it could. Especially for local or small businesses, determining your niche is very important. When you know your niche, you can emphasize what makes your products or brand unique, therefore improving your odds to rank well for them. Links are still a critical element to Google’s algorithm and their value needs to be protected.

The more content you produce, the more organic traffic and inbound links you will receive

Just by increasing your search ranking and where your website places on Google doesn’t mean you’re going to get all of a sudden get that flood of traffic that you want. : Article marketing involves writing one unique article, and then rearranging the words to transform that one article into multiple versions. This rearranged article will then be placed on different, usually low-quality article sites with highly optimized anchor text links. Take a few minutes to jot down some word combinations that website visitors might use to find you. Once you’ve got a healthy list of keyword options, it’s time to see if people are searching for them. A solid place to start is Google’s free Keyword Planner, which helps you research keyword ideas and estimate how well they’ll perform in search results. User-generated content (UGC) sites and communities are two of my favourite places to find untapped keywords.

Optimise your 404 error page

Every website has its own issues, but all websites benefit from optimizing the conversion rate. It really doesn’t matter if your goal is more sales, more Facebook likes or more newsletter subscribers. Cramming popular search terms into your blog isn’t enough anymore, businesses need to spend time creating meaningful copy. A page that’s no longer working can affect your site’s rankings in search engines, but also user experience and the engagement. Gaz Hall, a Freelance SEO Consultant, commented: "Your website should be accessible to the search engine crawlers and the users with optimum site-load-speed and needs to be devoid of any broken links or errors. Sites with high accessibility enjoy better rankings than sluggish, faulty websites."

So, does true white hat SEO really exist?

When you've selected your focus keyword, ensure it is found in your title tag, h1 tag, meta description, article text and make sure that relevant keywords are also be found throughout the content as well as h2 tags. SEO allows you to capture demand when a searcher may not even be familiar with your brand name. It's not actually that difficult to get on page 1 of Google in a search (but that depends on the search!) You need to know your market and you need to have a good understanding of SEO and how to use keywords. It’s important that your files have relevant titles, relevant Alternative Text and aren’t so big that they slow down the site.
