Google/Bing Webmaster Tools allows you to submit multiple pages at once by submitting your sitemap(s). Sitemaps also have the added benefit of supplying a few other useful pieces of information about your web pages to the search engines, Ranking potential is an assessment of where you can realistically hope to get your rankings to; if the top 5 websites have a DA of 90+ and your website is at 20, it is not realistic to think that you will be able to grab one of the top 5 spots in no time. Again this is not always the case, but tends to generally be a safe standard of procedure. SEO basically works by predicting and guessing how the Google algorithm works (because no one can be completely sure) and then using that information in order to engineer your website to get the maximum number of hits. It means gaming the system and this in turn can allow you to‘trick’ Google into believing that your site should be number one. Ensure your website is crawlable with the search. Note the number of results.

Write a keyword-rich introduction

Picking the right keywords to optimize for is very important. Usually, it’s a good idea to pick mid-tail keywords, including the local area you are focusing on. Some websites have suspiciously large number of external links. These are probably the websites which buy links in bulk. These websites are in some ways, spammy websites. Linking to such sites can result in a penalty by Google. Technical SEO is work improving the non-content parts of your website. These tend to be the elements behind the scenes that visitors don’t see (but often affect their experience of the website!) The most important user signals are the bounce rate and the click-through rate (CTR). These are important for your SEO, as Google takes these seriously.

Bad backlink tactics

By providing clear, deep, easy to find content on your website, Google is more likely to index and show your content in search results. Websites that are thin on content, showing mostly ads or affiliate links, or that otherwise redirect visitors away to other sites quickly tend not to rank well. The only way unethical SEO techniques are ever going to be eradicated is when Google themselves get clever enough to work out how to tweak their algorithm to ensure these tactics no longer work. Don’t get me wrong. Google have come a long way during the past few years in stamping out unethical SEO spam but they are far from ensuring none of it works. If you make a website from scratch, you need to take a few SEO related things into account. It’s incredibly important to do this right from the start, as that will prevent a vast number of future headaches. Gone are the days when you have to mention exact keyword phrases a specific number of times at a certain frequency.

More content equals better rankings and more links

Make your descriptive tag engaging. Google and other search platforms will use it to create that little blurb about your site. Users often read these before deciding whether or not to visit a site. Concise, descriptive blurbs draw visitors to your site, sometimes even before sites that rank higher than yours in a search. Keyword-based titles help establish page theme and direction for your keywords. SEO or Search Engine Optimization is one of the techniques to use in order to achieve a greater volume of traffic to your site. Without a good number of people visiting your web page, you won’t be able to expose your site to potential customers. We asked an SEO Specialist, Gaz Hall, for his thoughts on the matter: "A proximity search uses the order of the search phrase to find related documents."

Understanding the rationale behind search marketing

Each time you write an informative article related to your site’s topic, you should distribute it to a number of article directories. When you do that, you are making sure that more people will be visiting your site. The One Percent Rule states that only a tiny fraction of people within any online community actually create content. The other 99% of users consume or contribute to content, but do not create. Besides voice search and Google’s focus on that, more is changing in and for Google. Specifically: a few new technologies and a profound new way of looking at the web. Link signals tend to decay over time. Sites that were once popular often go stale, and eventually fail to earn new links.
